Robert Calabrese Celebrates 55 Years in Penfield Perinton Kiwanis
On August 15, 2017, the Kiwanis Club of Penfield-Perinton formally celebrated its 55th anniversary as a Kiwanis Club. The club was founded in 1962 and since its founding has provided countless hours of service to the Penfield, Perinton, Fairport and East Rochester communities.
The highlight of the evening was when Past International President Jerry Christiano presented Fairport resident Bob Calabrese with his 55-year pin. Mr. Calabrese is a charter member of the club and was a state governor in 1985-1986. Also honored were past club president Geddy Reinis with his 30-year Legion of Honor pin, and Reverend Frederick Bush with his 30-year service pin.
Distinguished guests included; past New York State District Governor Doreen Pellittieri, past Governor Eric Paul, twelve past club presidents, including Supreme Court judge Andy Siarcuse and twelve past lieutenant governors. Past Rotary International director Jack Best, Penfield Town Supervisor Tony La Fountain and Director of Developmental Services for the town of Penfield Jim Costello also attended the celebration.
